Long description of the infographic
Zero waste retailers help reduce plastic waste by allowing their customers to use their own reusable containers to purchase items such as:
- personal care products
- food
- hardware
How it works
- The retailer weighs the empty containers and writes the weight on the containers
- The customer fills the containers
- The retailer weighs the filled containers
- The retailer deducts the weight of the containers to calculate the total price
If you think the weight of the container wasn’t deducted, bring your filled container and your receipt back to the retailer, and ask them to reweigh it.
