Calibration of gas pressure devices used as standards

Gas pressure devices used as standards and belonging to Measurement Canada inspectors or authorized service providers (ASPs) are calibrated for use in the field.

Only standards used by Measurement Canada inspectors and authorized service providers are calibrated by Measurement Canada's laboratories. Standards and apparatus must be authorized and registered with Measurement Canada to qualify for this service.


Method

  • Precision pressure pneumatic gauges (0 to 3000 psi) are calibrated against Measurement Canada's reference dead weight testers.
  • Pneumatic pressure gauges (0 to 3000 psi) are calibrated in direct comparison to digital pressure controllers calibrated in relation to the Measurement Canada's reference deadweight testers.

  • Temperature: 20±3 °C
  • Pressure: Atmospheric
  • Humidity: 50±15%

Measurement Canada's Approval and Calibration Services Laboratory in Ottawa, Ontario.
