What is a Forward Sortation Area (FSA)?
A forward sortation area (FSA) is a way to designate a geographical unit based on the first three characters in a Canadian postal code. All postal codes that start with the same three characters—for example, K1A—are together considered an FSA.

In January 2024, the OSB implemented a new version of the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) coding system. Until January 2024 the OSB reporting was based on the 2002 version of the NAICS codes. As of January 2024, reports on NAICS use the 2022 version of the NAICS codes.

Includes annual insolvency rates for consumer and business insolvencies by province and economic region, census metropolitan area and sector as defined by the NAICS . The consumer insolvency rate is defined as the number of consumer insolvencies per thousand residents aged 18 years or above. The business insolvency rate is defined as the number of business insolvencies per thousand businesses. Annual insolvency rates are available for consumers starting from 1987 and for businesses starting from 1998. Annual insolvency rates by NAICS sector are available starting from 1999.
